The biggest objection to wool seems to be a perception that it will shrink. It does shrink, but not categorically at all.

The best wool type for finely woven or knitted garments is worsted wool. The yarn has been made out of long thin strands of wool, tightly twisted together to give a strong, soft flexible yarn with high durability. This is the yarn used in men's socks, suits and finely knitted clothing. It can be woven or knitted.
